Sustainability at Dolce is an ongoing process—we are working to build awareness and integrate new initiatives and strategies to reduce our energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Today, every Dolce property is integrating sustainability into everything it does:

• We have appointed a “plan-it green team” at each of our properties to adopt, implement and monitor sustainable practices
• We have implemented a comprehensive Environmental Purchasing Policy
• In both new construction and renovations to existing facilities, we are utilizing environmentally-responsible building materials whenever possible
• We are retrofitting existing properties with energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems, as well as water-saving devices
• Our kitchens are composting, using biodegradable containers, and we are growing our own vegetables and herbs in our gardens
• Our catering departments are providing china and linen service options to replace paper, and our coffee breaks provide guests with bulk condiment options
• Our housekeepers abide by our linen and towel reuse program
• We provide meeting planners with the option of replacing bottled water for water pitchers and bulk coolers
• We recycle every substance possible: Cardboard, paper, plastic bottles, and cans
• Biofilters certified by the Department of Environmental Protection are used so that building and parking lot runoff is not polluted with oil and gasoline from cars

  The impact of travel on our environment is substantial, especially in the meetings and conference industry where thousands of attendees travel each week for training sessions, corporate meetings, incentive trips and other group gatherings.
